Chilling out at Kolona Beach, Kythnos/Kithnos Island, Greece (Part 2)

Following on from my previous blog Postcards from Korissia/Coressia, Kéa Island - Greece we had arrived at our next destination, Kolona beach. We got there in time for sunset and a sundowner:

Sunset and wine

When we woke up the following morning we got to see Kolona beach in all its glory. This famous sandbank beach is located on Kythnos/Kithnos Island and was well worth a visit. Below is a drone shot and our catamaran is clearly visible, complete with our bright pink inflatable sunbed:

There weren’t too many other boats on anchor when we were there (in this area) and once again the crystal clear water was calling:

There were more boats on anchor at the other side of the sandbank:

The red arrow in the next photo is pointing to our catamaran:

Overall though, as you can see, it really wasn’t that busy and we thoroughly enjoyed our time. The water was lovely and warm and we spent a few hours relaxing, swimming etc. We then had a delicious brunch in the Kolona Experience restaurant before we headed onward. It was so nice to be able swim from the catamaran to the restaurant and back. Here are some more scenic photos taken from the restaurant.

Bellies full and memories made it was time to get going to our next stop on Kythnos Island, the small seaside village of Merikhas/Merihas located on the West side of the island. You can read all about Our stay in Merihas if you like!
