14 Top New True Crime Podcasts of June & July 2026

I am back, sorry for the delay, but I have an excellent list of true crime podcasts for you and its a bumper edition! Fourteen of the best new true crime podcasts available right now - the ultimate binge list!

1. Forever My Boys - Kathleen Chada & Nicola Bardon - The Irish Sun.

This excellent new Irish true crime podcast takes us back to 2013 and the heartbreaking murder of ten year old Eoghan Chada who was murdered alongside his younger brother, five year old Ruairi Chada in Co. Carlow, Ireland, by their father Sanjeev Chada.

In this true crime podcast we hear directly from Kathleen Chada, the mother of the two murdered children and wife of their killer. For the first time, Kathleen Chada details the full horrific extent of the injuries sustained by both boys. Her story is absolutely horrendous but completely necessary.

Kathleen Chada is speaking out now as Sanjeev Chada has applied for parole and she strongly believes, due to his extremely violent crimes and his innate ability to lie and deceive the people closest him, that he should not be granted parole. Sanjeev Chada pleaded guilty and was sentenced to life imprisonment in 2014 after admitting that his crime was fuelled entirely by mounting gambling debts. Because Sanjeev Chada entered a guilty plea, the details of the murders were not disclosed and Kathleen Chada feels the parole board needs to know the true extent of his violent actions and his intentions to murder her also:

“They needed to know how he did it. They needed to know because he pled guilty. None of the details are out there, if you like. So, I needed them to know what he’s capable of. And then secondly, I know … from correspondence that he had left behind, that I came across, that he intended to kill me as well.” (Source here).

All four episodes are out now and this is definitely a true crime podcast that you will want to binge. Kathleen Chada is a phenomenal woman and her strength and resilience is unfathomable.

2. We Call Her Emma - Hosted By Basia Cummings & Alexi Mostrous - Tortoise Investigates & The Observer.

In this six-part series hosts Basia Cummings and Alexi Mostrous tell us the story of Emma:

“Emma is a high achieving, middle class girl from west London. She seems destined for a successful career in banking and a comfortable British life. Until she makes a decision that will come to define her. In 2001 Emma marries Bashar al-Assad - the now infamous dictator of Syria. In the early days, people inside and out of Syria dared to hope. Alongside his beautiful, progressive wife, Bashar promised to modernise the country. But when the Arab Spring reached Syria in 2011, Bashar’s regime showed itself for what it really was: a brutal force, willing to capture and kill ordinary Syrians demanding change. The hosts seek to uncover what role Emma really played? To find out what she really knew about the atrocious crimes that her husband’s government was committing? and whether or not she had any power to make changes? Was she trapped? Or did she choose to stay?

3. I am Not Nicholas - Hosted By Jane MacSorley - BBC Studios.

OK so I think this mysterious story has been around for a while (since 2023) but this is my first deep-dive into it as it was behind an Audible paywall. Having listened to the first five episodes (on Spotify) I am completely hooked.

I am Not Nicholas is a true crime podcast deep diving into the life and crimes of Nicholas Rossi and an ocean away, a man named Arthur Night - but are they the same person?

"”I am not Nicholas Rossi!” gasps Arthur Knight through an oxygen mask in March 2022. Recently discharged from a Covid ward in Glasgow, he’s in a wheelchair. The police say he’s Nicholas Rossi, suspected of faking his death and wanted for rape in Utah. The story makes headlines globally.” (Source here).

Host and journalist Jane MacSorley spent one year investigating this case and takes us along with her as she uncovers this truly enthralling true crime story.

This is another true crime podcast that you won’t be able to turn off once you turn it on!

4. The Surgeon of St. Helena - Hosted By Luke Jones - Always True Crime.

If you have followed noroadlongenough for a while, you will know that I love medical true crime podcasts. This next true crime podcast is just that and the good news is all eight episodes are already available so you can binge the lot!

In The Surgeon of St. Helena host Luke Jones investigates the work of orthopaedic surgeon Dr. Sergio Villatoro Bran, who in 2015, began working on the island of St. Helena, a small British Island in the South Atlantic, over 1000 miles from the nearest landmass.

When Dr. Sergio Villatoro Bran arrived on the island, his arrival was welcomed, this remote island of St. Helena would have its very own orthopaedic surgeon. However, the reality of what Dr. Sergio Villatoro Bran brought to the island, his actual surgical abilities and his assumed surgical expertise were extremely lacking. Dr. Sergio Villatoro Bran left many of his patients with life changing injuries due to his incompetence, negligence and general inability to do the surgeries he claimed he could do.

In this true crime podcast we hear from many of the former patients (or victims) of Dr. Sergio Villatoro Bran who have been left devastated by his actions and inadequacy. We also hear from the solicitors representing the victims in a criminal case against Dr. Sergio Villatoro Bran and how while St. Helena is part of Britain, when is comes to legal procedure and compensation, its inhabitants do not receive the same treatment as they would if they lived on the British mainland - truly shocking!

5. Natalie McNally Murder: YouTuber on Trial - Hosted By Kelly Bonner & Chris Buckler - BBC News NI.

This true crime podcast started back in February of 2026 when the court case against the man accused of the murder of thirty-two year old Natalie McNally from Northern Ireland finally got underway. Natalie McNally was brutally murdered on December 18th 2022. Natalie McNally was stabbed to death in her home in Lurgan, County Armagh. Her boyfriend Stephen McCullagh was charged with her murder and in this true crime podcast you can follow the court case.

This was a shocking murder that rocked the local community and Northern Ireland as a whole.

This is a really well presented true crime podcast that allows you to listen to a murder trial unfolding “in real time”.

All twenty-one episodes are out now. The final episode only aired in June 2026.

6. Unravel: What Became of Jack? (Season 8) - Hosted By Rob Burgin - ABC Australia.

In this next true crime podcast we are off to Australia where twenty-seven year old Jack McLennan disappeared from a bush picnic spot at Ficks Crossing, 250 kilometres north-west of Brisbane. Jack’s mysterious disappearance took place at approximately 10pm on October 4th 2024. At the time of his disappearance Jack was with his friend Chris Duke who said he simply vanished (Duke’s full account is in episode six).

Unravel: What Became of Jack? tells us the story of Jack and his disappearance. This is a very thorough presentation and recollection of all the facts of the case and provides us with a complete picture of everything that is known about Jack’s case. Your heart will break for Jack’s distraught parents.

The investigation into Jack’s disappearance is on-going and I hope that this podcast will provide us with updates on this case. For now, all eight episodes are already available.

7. Christy Kinahan: The Dapper Don - Hosted By Nicola Tallant & Niall Donald - Crime World.

This Irish true crime podcast series was first released in 2025 but it was a subscriber only (paid) series. It is now available on Spotify which is where I listened.

Across six episodes hosts Nicola Tallant and Niall Donald take us through the life of Christy Kinahan, from his early days growing up in a middle class family in Cabra, Co.Dublin to his “re-invention” in later years, when he swapped Dublin for Dubai and his new criminal activities that finally caught the attention of the US Government.

I really enjoyed this Irish true crime podcast. The hosts are excellent as always, the story is easy to follow and you slowly hear how the dots started to be connected despite Kinahan’s best efforts to “fly under the radar”.

8. Intrigue: Lockerbie - Hosted By Myles Bonnar - BBC Radio 4.

Next up is another brilliant new true crime podcast from award winning investigative journalist Myles Bonnar. I have featured many other true crime podcasts from Intrigue and I was excited to see this new one pop-up on my Spotify recommendations feed!

In Intrigue: Lockerbie Myles Bonner investigates who was really behind the 1988 Lockerbie bombing:

“On 21 December 1988, a plane explodes over Lockerbie, Scotland, killing 270 people. A Libyan man, Abdelbaset al-Megrahi, is convicted. Despite a global investigation Megrahi’s conviction, and the failed appeals that followed, are still tainted - for some - with doubt and conspiracy theory. Now, almost four decades on; fresh evidence and a new trial. The alleged bomb maker Abu Agila Masud is in custody, with a trial expected to begin any day. He denies any involvement in the Lockerbie bombing.” (Source here).

This true crime podcast is very well put together, packed with interesting facts and filled with insightful and revealing interviews with those who were part of the investigation into the bombing from day one.

9. Dr. Death: The Cowboy (Season 5) - Hosted By Laura Beil - Audible.

I have another great medical true crime podcast on this list this month! Laura Beil is back with her excellent medical true crime podcast, season 5 of Dr Death and it is as captivating and astonishing as ever!

Dr. Death: The Cowboy is a six-part series focusing on the crimes of cowboy-boot wearing Dr. John Henry Schneider in Wyoming, USA:

“Dr. John Schneider rode into town like a character out of a Western: an outsider on a Harley-Davidson, in trademark cowboy boots. He promised relief to patients suffering in Wyoming and Montana. He seemed like the hero they needed. But when surgeries go wrong and a strange letter exposes a bitter feud, medical professionals and government officials search for the truth about this cowboy doctor. They discover claims of broken bodies, bullying, fraud, and lawsuits.” (Source here).

As always, this true crime podcast features first person accounts from those who had the misfortune of crossing paths with Dr. Schneider and becoming victims of his utter incompetence. For those who did not survive their treatments, we hear from their devastated and angry family and friends.

10. Pretend: Chain of Command - Hosted By Javier Leiva - Creative Babble LLC.

Next up is a cult related true crime podcast and you know how much I love those! In this true crime podcast, host Javier Leiva is deep into an investigation into the New Testament Christian Churches of America and speaks to former members who strongly maintain that this church is really a cult.

In the first episode we meet Sarah DeJonghe who was just twenty years old and in the Navy when she was first approached by this church group. Although she first resisted, they later approached her again and eventually she joined the church that:

“… has spent decades planting itself outside US military bases around the world, marketing itself as a home away from home for single, lonely soldiers.” (Source here).

I found this true crime podcast very captivating, hearing directly from past members of the church really adds value to the story that is being told.

All seven episodes are already available and you will probably find it hard to stop listening once you start so you better clear your diary!

11. What Happened To … Jorn Jesper Jensen - Podshape.

Now for some Australian true crime. What Happened to.. Jorn Jesper Jensen is an true crime investigative podcast into the disappearance of Jorn Jesper Jensen from his home in Western Australia:

“John “Jesper” Jensen was a six-foot-three gentle giant a Danish-born father, grandfather, husband and much-loved mate who built a life in Western Australia after arriving from Denmark as a teenager. To his family, he was quiet, loyal, funny and deeply devoted. But in June 2017, Jesper opened his garage door, drove more than an hour from his Ocean Reef home to Lancelin, and vanished. His car was later found near the Lancelin Beach Hotel, but Jesper was gone.” (Source here).

In this true crime podcast, Jesper’s daughter Belle recounts loving memories of her father and provides us with a clear timeline of the events leading up to his disappearance. Belle strongly believes that her father was violently taken from his home that night and that someone is responsible for her father’s disappearance.

This is a heart-breaking true crime story and having listened to all five episodes I strongly agree with Belle that her father’s disappearance is suspicious and some evidence at the scenes (his home and in his car) were never fully investigated and analysed.

12. Five Miles From Home - Hosted By Keith Morrison - NBC News.

Keith Morrison was bound to feature somewhere on my true crime podcast list! In this new six-part true crime series Five Miles From Home Keith Morrison is telling the story of sixteen year old Micaela “Mickey” Costanzo who went missing from outside her West Wendover High School on March 3rd 2011. Micaela Costanzo’s body was later discovered in a shallow grave five miles west of West Wendover, Nevada. It was obvious that Micaela had suffered a violent death and so the hunt for her killer began:

“Keith Morrison takes us to a small Nevada casino town to find out what really happened that night under the desert sky.” (Source here).

The local community was shocked when a member of Micaela’s inner circle, eighteen year old Kody Patten, was arrested and charged with her murder shortly after her body was discovered. Even more shocking was a second arrest, the teenage girlfriend of the aforementioned suspect, Toni Fratto.

There are so many twists and turns to this case, you will have to listen to hear the full shocking story.

13. Royal Swindle - Hosted By Becky Milligan - Exactly Right Media & iHeartPodcasts.

I love a good con-artist true crime podcast and if you do too, then this is the podcast for you! Without giving too much of this Australian to UK true crime story away, in Royal Swindle we are transported back to 1996 and introduced to:

“… two Aussie lesbian lovers touch down in London and become the toast of British high society.” (Source here).

And what happens from this moment on is a wild and very substantial trail of cons, with the elites of British society as the victims. This podcast is so good, its really entertaining and we even hear directly from one of the aforementioned “Aussie lesbian lovers” as she recounts her memories and version of the events.

14. Hardcore Con with Johnathan Walton - Johnathan Walton Media.

You might be familiar with Johnathan Walton (the producer/host of this brand new true crime podcast) from his really successful con-artist true crime podcast Queen of the Con which he wrote, produced and hosted! There are six seasons of the Queen of the Con true crime podcast and I think I have featured all of them - so good, I will link them below!

Anyway, back to this new con-artist true crime podcast from Johnathan Walton Media. In each episode Johnathan and his team will:

“… tell you a crazy con story but we analyze the specific brain hacks and mental tricks professional scammers use to get what they want. Sometimes it’s money. Sometimes it’s marriage. Sometimes it’s murder But whatever it is you can bet your life that when a professional con artist targets you, they will succeed… Unless you know what the tells are.” (Source here).

So, if you did like his other work then you definitely need to check out this new con-artist true crime podcast. This is a great option if you are tight on time and/or do not want to commit to a full series as each episode is standalone and approximately thirty minutes in length!
